Editorial First of all, we congratulate the first joint conference ACL-IJCNLP 2009 on 2-7 August 2009 in Singapore. Many of us lived and breathed with the ACL-IJCNLP 2009 for the past weeks. It is now time to count the blessings, especially after surviving the recession and H1N1. The conference registers a record high number of participants (850 people) and paper submissions (925 papers) in the history of IJCNLP. It also marks a significant milestone of collaboration between ACL and AFNLP. For those who joined the conference, we hope that you enjoy it.
